Nepal suffers severe thunderstorms, flooding, landslides, drought and famine depending on the timing and duration of the monsoons.

80 per cent of the population survive on subsistence agriculture, the landscape can make this a difficult living. Nepalese rural people are poor due to land with low-productivity, and lack of good roads to obtain agriculture inputs and to sell agricultural produce.Image

Technologically the country is limited; Resolve International is working in partnership with an agency to provide a training exchange in internet radio and TV broadcasting to provide community services.

The population of the country is about 26.5 million with a life expectancy of 59 years. Almost half the country’s people live on less than one dollar a day.
