Case Study— note books and pencils for primary schools 1

Shree Kothia Devi Secondary School, Shaljhandi, Rupandehi is one of the schools which benefitted from our Books and Pencils project which supplied resources to a total of 3228 children in partnership with RUN Nepal.
Before helping the schools, Mr Rajan Shrestha (member of RUN) conducted case studies of the schools which were recommended by the local District Education Office and local social workers. Two schools were selected in Rupandehi - the first one is Shree Kothia Devi Secondary School. This school lies 22 Km far from the Main city of Butwal and 300 km far from Kathmandu, capital of Nepal.
222 students are studying in the primary level in the school. The majority of the students are from Tharu Ethnic group and most of them are economically deprived

Rajan Bagale, Rajan Shrestha and Chandi Raj Nepal from RUN Nepal visited the school whilst Biswash Acharya contributed his time for arranging and sending the materials by bus to the school.
‘When We reached the school at 10 am the entire school team welcomed us and they were very pleased with Run Nepal and Resolve International.’ remembers Rajan Bagale
‘We arranged a formal program at the school premises and Mr Chudamani Pokharel principle of school welcomed us and he was thankful to both organizations RUN Nepal and Resolve International. He was very happy with our program. He added that this campaign surly give a positive message to society.’ adds Rajan Bagale.
